Ranunculus asiaticus (Persian Buttercup) |
A beautiful meadow mix (mixed, single-colour flowers) of Ranunculus asiaticus (Persian Buttercup) seeds.
Native to Southwestern Europe, North East Africa and South West Asia, growing to around 20-40 cm in height, producing very long-lasting flowers during spring and summer within a rainbow of stunning colours (including red, pink, orange, yellow, and cream-white).
A bushy, tuberous, deciduous perennial with long-stalked, fern-like foliage. Branched flowering stems bear one to four single, cup-shaped, brilliantly coloured flowers,
adorned with multiple layers of delicate petals — which attract bees and many other pollinating insects, being full of nectar and pollen.
Frost hardy to - 10°C. With winters lower than - 10°C, it can be grown as an annual, rather than a perennial.
A holder of the The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM), it is a plant that is adored by florists for its beautiful cut flowers; ideal for any flower border, Mediterranean-style garden, courtyard, patio, container gardens, gravel gardens or wildflower meadows.
Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack.
