Philodendron bipinnatifidum (P. selloum) Lacy Leaf Palm Tree / Horsehead Philodendron |
Fresh Seeds of Philodendron bipinnatifidum (P. selloum), Lacy Tree / Horsehead Philodendron, with full instructions for germination.
A handsome, broad-leaf evergreen shrub (or small tree) species, native to South America.
Makes a beautiful potted specimen when used as a textural accent plant, with it's large, dark-green and glossy, deeply-lobed leaves really catching the eye!
Slow-growing, so ideal for indoor containers as a houseplant. It will generally reach around 6 ft, although larger within open ground in the tropics, but smaller within a pot indoors.
If growing outside, prepare for at least a little frost damage to leaves at -1°C — and approaching -5°C the growth above ground level will die-down for winter and re-grow in spring.
RHS Award of Garden Merit holder.
Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack.
