Liquidambar formosana - (Chinese Sweet Gum / Formosan Sweetgum) |
A deciduous tree native to China and East Asia, Taiwan and Indochina, growing to a height of 12 m (40 ft) and forming an oval or pyramidal shape
Bright green, three-lobed leaves glisten in spring and summer — turning fiery oranges and reds during autumn
Will tolerate full sun to partial shade but prefers to be sheltered from harsh winds
Fully Hardy to -23°C (-10°F) once established
The trees are easy to keep small (if desired) with pruning
Makes an excellent bonsai tree as the roots are very shallow and it is easily dwarfed
Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack
