A charming, evergreen perennial native only (endemic) to the coasts of the Canary Islands, growing to 2-3 ft in height and width.

With bold green, diamond-shaped foliage up to 30 cm long and large panicles of beautiful flowers made up of lavender and white inflorescences intermittently between spring to autumn. The flowers will also dry very well, retaining the colour for a very long time, which makes for an excellent flower arrangement species.

Perfect for coastal or Mediterranean-style gardens, but looks great within any garden border. 

Very well-adapted and tolerant of coastal salt-spray, strong winds and drought. Will only tolerate marginal frosts of -1°C to -2°C.
