Eucalyptus grandis - (Flooded Gum / Rose Gum) |
An Australian native, reaching 50 m (160 ft) in height, found mostly growing along the coastal forest areas of the Eastern side of the continent
This tall evergreen tree has a straight and cylindrical trunk covered in smooth and powdery, white to grey-blue peeling bark
The lanceolate leaves are a glossy dark green — with white flowers produced during summer
Prefers moist, well-drained soil within partial or full shade, but full sun is also tolerated
Half-hardy to -1°C (30°F) — but it has been known to survive down to -4°C (25°F) when the soil has been kept on the drier side during hard frosts
Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack
