A beautiful flowering perennial, native to North America, making a wonderful addition to any flower border, cottage-style garden, wildflower meadow or prairie-style garden.
Delightful, cone-shaped, summer flower-heads, made of striking, light-purple ray florets and beautifully-contrasting red-orange central disks, are held on long, upright stalks above attractive deep-green, lance-shaped foliage.
The ornamental flowers are a magnet for butterflies and other vital pollinators!
It is widely used in modern-day Western herbal medicine, with a great range of powerful remedies for the human body — and Echinacea were even considered to be the most frequently used plant species by North American Indian tribes over 10,000 - 20,000 years ago.
