Native to Southern Australia, this beautiful species grows as an annual or half-hardy perennial, forming compact plants to approx. 25-40 cm in height, with attractive, fern-like foliage, bearing a profusion of daisy-like flowers during spring to summer.

These are delicately fragrant flowers have petals in soft shades of slate-blue to purple, surrounding yellow to orange central disk florets, occasionally throwing-up a pure white flower too. Spent, faded flowers can be deadheaded in order to prolong the flowering period — and they often tend to self-seed within the planted area for future generations.

The Swan River Daisy is very well-adapted to grow within a great range of soil types and conditions, growing well within rockeries, general flower beds, cottage-style gardens, exotic gardens, or even just within pots, outdoor or indoor.

Brachyscome iberidifolia 🌱 Surface sow on propagation compost and cover with a thin layer of fine compost (around 1mm). Fine-mist spray with clean water daily to keep compost evenly moist and keep at 21°C (70°F). A heated propagator is ideal. Non-heated propagators can be placed within direct sunlight in a warm room to trap in heat and humidity. Approx. germination time: 45-60 days.
