Acer tataricum - (Tatar Maple / Tatarian Maple)

A charming species for a small specimen garden tree or bonsai

Native to central and south-eastern Europe and south-eastern Asia, named after the Tatar peoples of southern Russia

Deciduous leaves are generally 3 or 5 lobed and toothed which turn delightful hues of pink, flaming red and yellow in autumn

Grows 3-5 feet within a bonsai pot, or around 10-20 feet within open ground when fully-grown

Fully frost hardy. Protect very young plants and seedlings from hard frosts initially

The trees are easy to keep small (if desired) with pruning

Makes an excellent bonsai tree as the roots are very shallow and it is easily dwarfed

Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack
