A versatile and hardy, fast-growing, deciduous tree that adds elegance and charm to any garden or landscape. Native to North America, and growing 30-80 ft tall, it displays a columnar upright habit.

Its foliage is of great interest, producing both pinnate leaves (composed of three to seven leaflets) as well as palmate foliage. On young shoots, the lush green spring foliage often has a pink or violet waxy coating to its shoots when young. Its foliage turns vibrant yellow during autumn, creating a stunning display.

Delicate, drooping racemes gracefully adorn the branches during spring, showcasing clusters of small, pink-tinged white flowers that add a subtle and enchanting touch to the tree's overall picturesque beauty.

Acer negundo 🌱 Soak in warm water for 2 days. Place in a zip-lock bag with lightly-moist propagation compost or vermiculite, then refrigerate for 12 weeks, opening & shaking the bag daily for aeration. Finally sow 1cm deep within propagation compost. Keep at 20°C (68°F). Maintain moisture & bright conditions until germination. Alternatively, sow directly in pots outdoors within autumn, allowing natural frosts to break seed dormancy.
