A small, evergreen herb, perfect for growing in little pots — or alternatively making a beautiful shrub within an ornamental, flower border.
Strongly-aromatic and finely-divided, grey-green leaves are followed by beautiful blue flowers, July to August (UK Summer) which are highly attractive to bees!
It also has its medicinal uses and its leaves can be used to brew a delicious green tea. Salvia dervies from the Latin word "Salveo" meaning "I heal" — and was commonly used as a medicinal plant by the Ancient Greeks and Romans.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS |
Salvia officinalis (Sage) 🌱 Surface sow on propagation compost and cover with a thin layer of fine compost (around 5mm). Keep compost evenly moist at all times at 21°C (70°F). A heated propagator is ideal. Non-heated propagators can be placed within direct sunlight in a warm room to trap in heat and humidity. Fine-mist spray with clean water daily. Approx. germination time: from 20-80 days onwards.
