Eucalyptus camaldulensis - (Red River Gum / Murray Red Gum / Eucalipto Rojo)

A large evergreen tree endemic to Australia with blue-green, lance-shaped leaves and multicoloured peeling bark, ranging from bright-white to grey and orange.  White and yellow flowers are produced during summer.

The brilliant red colour of the inner-wood of Eucalyptus camaldulensis has made it a unique material in recent times for craft furniture.

Found growing along rivers and watercourses, providing shade from the extreme heat of central Australia, the trees provide a vital habitat for fish, other aquatic life and animals.

Hardy to -5°C (23°F).

Prefers moist conditions — but can tolerate any soil types, providing it has some direct sunlight.

It is one of the few Eucalyptus species that can truly make an outstanding bonsai specimen.

Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack.
