Adenium obesum - (Desert Rose / Impala Lily)

The flowers are of mixed colours — from champagne-pinks and magenta-reds, to violet and amethyst-purples — so prepare to be excited at what beautiful combination develops on each individual plant!

Adenium obesum (the Desert Rose or Impala Lily) is a majestic, shrubby succulent plant, growing like a miniature tree to under 3 ft in height, native to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula

Glossy green leaves grow above the shinylight-greyarchitecturally-shaped, bulbous base (swollen caudex) — with summer flowers produced, ranging from white-pink to deep red-purples

Growing very well in a pot, the Desert Rose is especially well-suited to growing as a bonsai tree — but is only hardy to 5°C (40°F) so will need to be grown indoors, or within a conservatory / warm glasshouse, where winters are experienced.  Plants can be grown outdoors during warmer weather, though, if desired

It also tends to be deciduous outside of tropical regions, so will only be within leaf from early spring until late autumn, each year

The Royal Horticultural Society has given Adenium obesum its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM)

Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack
