Acer saccharum - (Sugar Maple / Rock Maple) |

Growing to around 80-100 ft in height eventually (around 15 ft after the first 10 years), the tree forms an attractive, oval canopy
One of the most shade-tolerant of all the maples
The deeply-notched, palmate foliage emerge a bright green in spring, forming beautiful autumn colours of burnt yellows and oranges, through to scarlet and crimson tones. The plethora of blended autumn colours last for the best part of a month
Frost hardy to around -15ºC (5ºF). Protect very young plants and seedlings from hard frosts initially
