| Centaurea cyanus (Blue Cornflower) |
Fresh seeds of Centaurea cyanus (Blue Cornflower) – with full instructions for germination.
An upright annual, native to temperate Europe, bearing magnificent bright blue flowers from late spring to summer — and providing copious amounts of seeds for future sowing.
The plants have a slender form, composed of slightly-lobed, lanceolate, blue-green foliage, holding the stems of beautiful flowers in rich shades of blue to purple, which are a florist’s favourite for cut flowers and great displays.
Their blue flowers are like a magnet to bees and other pollinators, meaning less travelling for bees between feeding, which can only be considered a good thing! Apart from nectar and pollen-rich flowers, the seeds offer a vital source of food for birds too.
Always a strong contender for any flower border, cottage-style garden, or wildflower meadow.
Please note: full germination instructions are printed on each pack.
