A beautiful, fully frost hardy, herbaceous perennial native to Texas and Louisiana, growing to clumps of 3-4 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide.

Soft, airy, lance-shaped foliage contrasts beautifully with delicate bright white or pink-tinged white flowers held on long thin stems.

The flowers resemble fluttering butterflies and the plants fit perfectly within gaps in herbaceous borders, looking particularly great within wild, meadow-style or cottage-style gardens.

Exceptionally long flowering period from early summer to autumn — and highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

Gaura lindheimeri 🌱 Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Sow seeds 1cm deep within propagation compost. Keep compost evenly moist at all times at 25°C (77°F). A heated propagator is ideal. Non-heated propagators can be placed within direct sunlight in a warm room to trap in heat and humidity. Approx. germination time: from 20-60 days onwards.
